Ohhh the smells! Glorious aromas of mulled wine, gingerbread, sizzling sausages, melting cheese, spiced hot chocolate, all waft through the air.
Perusing each twinkling stall and wondering how have I gone through life without any Christmas baubles. So many choices.
Best not to rush any decisions and have a raclette or a crepe whilst I ponder.
It’s starting to softly snow, time for a warming mulled wine or two.
I’m still not sure what to buy.
Wait, what’s that? I get distracted by an enormous pan of bubbling cheesey potato dumplings. I should really try that.
I decide on a pair of lace snow flakes and some birch candle holders.

Hi Emily, how fantastic to experience a European Christmas. All that food looks fantastic. I expect you have sampled more than one mug of mulled wine by now.
Happy new year and enjoy your time in France.

Happy new year, Emily. I’m really loving reading your travel blog and always look forward to receiving the next one. We’ve just arrived in Vancouver, on our way to Sun Peaks. Your recommendation of L’Hermitage Hotel was spot on. It’s fantastic.
Best wishes for a wonderful 2018.

Hi Emily,
Cruise was great – in some aspects rather ‘posh’. Service was excellent and we particularly liked Montego Bay – on our list to visit one day as is a return trip to Cuba!
Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Emily, happy new year! We arrived home last night after our visit to Chile, Antarctica and Argentina. It was a fabulous cruise. Holland America sent flowers and champagne to our cabin on our wedding anniversary – thank you for organising that. Did you know that Puerto Madrin in Argentina was founded by Welsh settlers. Given you Welsh experience it is of note. We did not get to Coyhaique but did enjoy our Chilean experience very much. Such fabulous scenery and friendly people. The Antarctic scenery was mind blowing. Your European experiences look memorable from your photos. Look forward to your next posting. For us it is back to everyday living. Regards, Keith and Tricia
